My Story

I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Her2 positive breast cancer Dec. 27th, 2011. I had three large tumors in my left breast, I also had two positive lymph nodes and so with 5 positive biopsies I started my journey. In the beginning, it was a whirlwind and within a week, I was getting a port and preparing for chemo and the rush to save my life was on. Eight months later (August 20th) after stopping chemo (12 sessions) and not having surgery (a suggested double mastectomy) or radiation like my doctors wanted me to, I sat at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Illinois and heard the results of a mammogram, MRI, Pet Scan and blood tests were that they could find no cancer in my body. The nurses and doctors were baffled and no one could explain how I could have had this terrible cancer and it was now gone, except for me. I said the Lord healed me through prayers, education, diet and supplements. I started this blog when I was first diagnosed, it is not just about on cancer, but my life and day-to-day thoughts and activities. There are suggested websites, blogs, videos and more here that I believe can benefit those dealing with cancer and those who want to be preventative. My hope is that you and yours will learn, be encouraged and healed. My family prays every night for those with cancer and that you will be not only be healed but that you will live long and happy lives.

Love and Blessings on your journey.

What to do? Feb. 20, 2012

It’s almost 11:00 p.m. I am tired but can’t sleep again. Today was a big day. There is a lot to think about and process. Lots of prayer needed. Bobbie and I went to Dr. Mark’s and that was a good appointment. He is very optimistic and we are still trying to seek of the root of my cancer instead of just treating the symptom (tumors). I can’t type everything as we usually are there talking to him and staff for about 2 hours, but the latest quick takes are:

1.       Stay on the red diet.

2.       Things looking well.

3.       Get blood tested

4.       Go to a biological dentist and get my nickel cap off of a specific tooth and replace it with porcelain or ceramic. We learned of this info. From Dr. Dawn who works closely with Dr. Mark – different offices.
5.       Keep praying and seeking information and advice, even at MD Anderson. He suggested going in with nothing and saying what stage do you think I am, etc. instead of saying this is where I am according to someone else to see if they match at all.

6.       He gave me a new pill to add to the regiment

Brenda and I had a good appointment in Sugarland (school stuff) and three hours of talking and touring and then the car and more talking and praying and such made me tired with much on my mind.  Seeking God’s plans and what does that look like – exactly? I think of it kind of like a sifting through process; like looking for gold, the heavy strong pieces will eventually fall into place and be obvious, but it takes time, energy, patience and a quiet attentive mind and heart.

I’m frustrated with the blog a bit. I have 26 followers and each day over 80 plus people checking it with hardly any comments. I get some comments directly to my e-mail which is nice but then I am keeping up with stuff in two different places. I just feel like this is a bit like journaling with voyeurs.

Hudson(2) threw and flushed a car down the other downstairs toilet. Can you believe it? Now we have to wait until Mark can getting to fix that one.

Today I’ll call MD Anderson and go from there. I really want/ need to talk to my hubby, but we are both so busy and at night we are tired and not really ready for a big discussion on cancer treatments option and such.  The weekend was busy and then, well life goes on.

Please continue to pray for healing and start praying for clear direction and peace about the decisions to be made.
