I needed some encouragement this morning
before sitting with my Lord, and I found these. Please continue to pray
with me for the Lord’s abundant provision for our campus.

I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it - John 14:13-14
"'Have faith in God,' Jesus answered. 'I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, "Go, throw yourself into the sea," and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins'" Mark 11:22-25
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. - Philippians 4:6
But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord;- James 1:7
I prayed for twenty years but received no
answer until I prayed with my legs. ~Frederick Douglass, escaped slave
We have to pray with our eyes on God, not
on the difficulties. ~Oswald Chambers
When you pray, rather let your heart be
without words than your words without heart. ~John Bunyan
I have been driven many times to my knees
by the overwhelming conviction that I had nowhere else to go. ~Abraham
Lincoln
God speaks in the silence of the
heart. Listening is the beginning of prayer. ~Mother Teresa
Just pray for a tough hide and a tender

Before we can pray, "Lord, Thy Kingdom
come," we must be willing to pray, "My Kingdom go." ~Alan

God has editing rights over our
prayers. He will... edit them, correct them, bring them in line with His
will and then hand them back to us to be resubmitted. ~Stephen Crotts
Ask, and it shall be given you;
seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one
that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it
shall be opened. - Jesus
And Satan trembles when he sees
The weakest saint upon his knees. -William Cowper
And it came to pass, as he
drew nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging: and
hearing a multitude going by, he inquired what this meant. And they told him
that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by. And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David,
have mercy on me. And they
that went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried out
the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me. And
Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come
near, he asked him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? And he said,
Lord, that I may receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight;
thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and
followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise
unto God. – Luke 18:35-43
Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare
tire?-- Corrie Ten Boom
Pray often, for prayer is a shield to the
soul, a sacrifice to God, and a scourge for Satan --John Bunyan
Is the Son of God praying in me, or am I
dictating to Him?....Prayer is not simply getting things from God, that is a
most initial form of prayer; prayer is getting into perfect communion with God.
If the Son of God is formed in us by regeneration, He will press forward in
front of our common sense and change our attitude to the things about which we
pray. --Oswald Chambers
Tell God all that is in your heart, as one
unloads one's heart, its pleasures and its pains, to a dear friend. Tell God
your troubles, that God may comfort you; tell God your joys, that God may sober
them; tell God your longings, that God may purify them; tell God your dislikes,
that God may help you conquer them; talk to God of your temptations, that God
may shield you from them: show God the wounds of your heart, that God may heal
them. If you thus pour out all your weaknesses, needs, troubles, there will be
no lack of what to say. Talk out of the abundance of the heart, without
consideration say just what you think. Blessed are they who attain to such
familiar, unreserved intercourse with God. --Francois Fenelon
