My Story

I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Her2 positive breast cancer Dec. 27th, 2011. I had three large tumors in my left breast, I also had two positive lymph nodes and so with 5 positive biopsies I started my journey. In the beginning, it was a whirlwind and within a week, I was getting a port and preparing for chemo and the rush to save my life was on. Eight months later (August 20th) after stopping chemo (12 sessions) and not having surgery (a suggested double mastectomy) or radiation like my doctors wanted me to, I sat at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Illinois and heard the results of a mammogram, MRI, Pet Scan and blood tests were that they could find no cancer in my body. The nurses and doctors were baffled and no one could explain how I could have had this terrible cancer and it was now gone, except for me. I said the Lord healed me through prayers, education, diet and supplements. I started this blog when I was first diagnosed, it is not just about on cancer, but my life and day-to-day thoughts and activities. There are suggested websites, blogs, videos and more here that I believe can benefit those dealing with cancer and those who want to be preventative. My hope is that you and yours will learn, be encouraged and healed. My family prays every night for those with cancer and that you will be not only be healed but that you will live long and happy lives.

Love and Blessings on your journey.

Update - Sept 8, 2013

I went to Dr. Hopkins and after spending $284 I am back with having enough supplements for 1 month. I did the foot bath and cold laser light therapy there too. Doctor Mark thinks that I'll be better within a month or so if I can stick to taking my supplements and eating right of course.

I am very excited to say I am so happy to have figured out essential oils after this whole time. Duh! After all this research and reading and doing everything I could to heal myself from cancer, psoriasis, insomnia and more I finally went back to basics. I have been blown away in just a few days with my new YL kit.! Just my level of relaxation and my ability to fall asleep and stay sleep has improved so much just with Young Living's Thieves at the bottom of my feet at night and lavender on my pillow. I had tried  the lavender before with an essential oil that wasn't pure and didn't work so I wasn't impressed, but alas I figured out not all oils are so great. I'd like to sell the oils which I am now using, but I haven't gotten to that point quite yet as I need about another week or two to set things up. I am like most people that sign up to be distributors, in that I don't want to make money as much as get the products and so hopefully that will work out.

I have three doctor appointments this week which makes life a bit crazy as leaving the kids when they have schoolwork to do isn't the best. I wish I had a woman to live in and help throughout the day with everything.from childcare and cooking and cleaning to reading to the boys and helping with schoolwork. I often feel so pulled. I know you moms with a medium family understand. I will go to the neurologist the sleep specialist and the orthodontist and hopefully I'll be able to figure a few things out.

Our elementary program GIFT (God - centered Instruction by Families Together) starts this morning. I am so happy to be able to directed this program which I created for another year. What a blessing! Our Latin starts up as well today as well and we are finally getting to the point where the kids will be in all of their classes which have started at different weeks and places. I look forward to having some consistency in homeschooling. Holly still doesn't even have her Math curriculum which costs almost $300!, but eventually we'll get there. I am working on my patience in life which always seems to be an issue for me.

Blessings
Karri
